If you are visiting Frankenmuth Michigan to experience the “Little Bavarian” village and want your accommodations located in the heart of the village, then the Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn Lodge is a perfect location. This massive resort has over 300 rooms and sits on the Cass River which runs through Frankenmuth.

Bavarian Inn Standard Room
I stayed in a basic room, with no balcony. There were two double beds, small dresser, a refrigerator, coffee maker, desk and chair. The room was clean and comfortable no fuss. There was also a closet to hang clothes.
Family Friendly Hotel
This hotel is an ideal destination for families. Kids will love the 18-hole indoor Mini-Golf course and Family Fun Center, where they can play video games or fun ticket redemption games where they can collect tickets for prizes. There are four indoor pools in the hotel including a waiting pool for toddlers and babies; a large play pool and the waterfall pool which features two 4-storey water slides.
Other Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn Lodge Amenities
Aside from the family-friendly features, there is also a 4th adult only pool at the hotel. The hotel features some suites which are more adult-focused including the whirlpool suite for more romantic stays. However, in my honest opinion, this hotel is a family hotel.
Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn Dining
We ate dinner at the Bavarian Inn’s restaurant located across the river in Frankenmuth. Since Frankenmuth is famous for these chicken dinners, we just had to partake in one!
Dinner included chicken noodle soup to start and plates of salads, buttered noodles, bread, mashed potatoes, vegetables and of course chicken. All the wait staff was dressed in traditional Bavarian clothes, and we were even serenaded by an accordion player. An enjoyable night.
Right in the Heart of Frankenmuth
The Bavarian Inn Lodge is located right in the centre of it all. Just a few steps through the covered bridge and you have access to all the town’s shops and attractions. There is also a shuttle bus that runs between the hotel and the Bavarian Inn restaurant.

The room looks cute and love the details like the wooden headboard etc.
On the few times we’ve been in the area we’ve attempted to attend their Sunday brunch (I hear it is very good) but they’ve always been fully booked! Next time I suppose.
