There is something about late summer in Ontario that screams let’s go on a wine tour! I discovered the town of Jordan Ontario and the Twenty Valley region in Ontario after driving by it a hundred times, and now I recommend it to everyone seeking some great wine, good eats, small-town shopping and a delightful getaway.
Inn on the Twenty Jordan Ontario
Located on Main Street in Jordan Ontario, the Inn on the Twenty is a great location for those seeking to explore some of the wineries in the Twenty Valley region or browse the shops in town. Seating Areas Throughout the Hotel
There are a few seating areas located around the hotel. This little lounge sat on the second floor near my room. There was also a computer available in this seating area, which I found was a great meeting space with other people I knew staying at the hotel with me.
Inn on the Twenty Loft Suite
I stayed in a loft suite which was a two-floor suite. On the first floor of my room, I had a powder room, desk and chair and small living room.
This is the kind of hotel room you can cozy up in and relax in. For winter travels you can sit on the couch or lounge chairs in front of the fireplace. During my summer trip, I loved my mornings enjoying a cup of coffee and catching up on my writing in this space.
For times when I needed to sit at my computer, the desk was tucked away to the side of the floor. The refrigerator is located down on the first floor under the desk. This I found to be an awkward part of the room.
Second Floor of Loft Suite
The coffee machine is located up on the second floor in the bedroom, as is the television. For me, I would have preferred watching tv in the living room, and going up a flight of stairs to make coffee while the milk and creamers were downstairs in the refrigerator is awkward.
Second Floor Loft Bedroom
Up a flight of stairs in the open loft were a king bed and a wardrobe. There was a Keurig coffee machine and TV. I didn’t mind this loft style concept, but if you are not interested in climbing up a flight of stairs, you may want to book one of their other room styles.
An assortment of toiletries is available in the suite, with products featured in the hotel spa. Other hotel features include the Spa and restaurant, right on the main street of Jordan Village. I did not visit either as I spent most of my trip visiting wineries.
